Gun manufacturer Blaser is voluntarily recalling its ISD integral silencers R8 and Sauer 404<\/h2>\n

The risk of potentially corrosion occurring in the expansion chamber<\/strong> is in the room. The exchange is only the ISD silencer<\/strong> affected. Affected hunters should contact a Blaser dealer for processing.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The gun manufacturer Blaser has now issued a product recall to its gunsmiths and, above all, its end customers.<\/p>\n

The Integral silencer type ISD<\/strong>which are Blaser R8<\/a> and Sour 404<\/a> model variants with the additional designation \"Silence\" will be replaced as quickly as possible and free of charge as a precautionary measure as part of a voluntary recall.<\/p>\n

How Blaser in an information to the gunsmiths<\/strong> and on his Page Online<\/a> writes, is formed when the weapon is used in the Condensate inside the silencer<\/strong>which, if it cannot evaporate, could attack the outer pipe with the powder residues deposited there.<\/p>\n

In the press release, Blaser expressly points out that the\u00a0Basic weapon Blaser R8<\/strong> and all other Blaser hunting rifles absolutely safe<\/strong> and are not affected by this replacement. The voluntary recall only relates to the ISD silencer itself.<\/p>\n

Original Blaser Statement:<\/p>\n

\"As a precautionary measure, the integral silencer type ISD, which was used in the Blaser Silence model variant, will be replaced as quickly as possible and free of charge as part of a voluntary recall. The ISD silencers can no longer be used and should be returned to Blaser via the specialised trade. Only the ISD is affected by the replacement. The weapons in which the ISD was installed are still absolutely safe and can therefore still be used for hunting - without the integrated silencer. Regardless of whether you are now hunting with a different silencer or without a silencer (M15x1 thread), please note that the firearm must always be re-shot.<\/em><\/p>\n

The reason for replacement is possible corrosion in the expansion chamber of the integral silencer. With the new ISD silencers, this symptom is permanently avoided.<\/em><\/p>\n

The replacement is of course free of charge for customers. We would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience caused. However, we make no compromises when it comes to product safety!<\/em><\/p>\n
