Quite simply, it means you don't have to worry so much about the Ballistics of a projectile<\/strong> at greater distances. BUT that in turn requires high speeds<\/strong> with the projectiles.<\/p>\n

The problem:<\/strong> High speeds and soft lead just don't get along so well. With the Impact of the projectile<\/strong> the bullet jacket is torn open and the soft Lead <\/strong>becomes downright shredded<\/strong>, in many small parts<\/strong>up to Lead powder<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

From Hunters and biologists<\/strong> from the Institute for Wildlife Studies Jake Theryl and Leland Brown and from the National Park Service Jim Petterson and Dan Ryan<\/a>\u00a0A study was carried out in the USA in 2011. In a very interesting practical test, leaded and lead-free ammunition was tested in various ways. The Test criteria<\/strong> were: Storey expansion<\/strong> and Fragmentation<\/strong> (water bombardment) and Penetration<\/strong> (ballistic gelatine) and its significance for humans and animals.<\/p>\n
