BERGARA's top priority is to offer customised quality for every sporting rifle or hunting rifle. BERGARA USA has therefore developed the Premier models as an extension to the Custom Series.
The BERGARA Premier series can simply be seen as an extension of the BERGARA Custom series. In contrast to the BERGARA Custom models, the Premier models have standardised components with high efficiency in parts production and assembly. The result is highly interesting and affordable long guns at custom level for demanding hunters and sport shooters.
BERGARA Premier precision long rifles are hand built in the USA by an elite team with extensive experience in building precision rifles for the US Marine Corps. At the heart of every BERGARA Premier is the high-quality 416 stainless steel barrel, manufactured to the tightest tolerances at BERGARA's own barrel manufacturing facility in the Basque Country, Spain. Once they arrive in the USA, the barrels are then assembled into a complete gun, individually tested and subjected to a precision proof test. Some of the precision rifles will then travel back to Europe from mid-2019.

The latest offering in the USA Premier Series, the Bergara Ridgeback, offers versatility for both the long range hunter and the precision shooter. The BERGARA long gun is named for its Grayboe Ridgeback stock, which features customisable LOP and comb height. The BERGARA Ridgeback will be available in 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Winchester, .300 Winchester Magnum in Europe.

The BERGARA Ridgeback rifle was specially developed for precision shooting
Firstly, the Ridgeback utilises Bergara's Premier action. In addition, the action is matched to a Medium Palma tapered, stainless steel Bergara barrel made to BPI. Also, a Grayboe Ridgeback composite fully supports the popular M-LOK system. It features 12 accessory attachment slots and offers a variety of options. The stock also includes an embedded level to ensure positional shooting at extreme range. Finally, the Ridgeback weighs in at 10.5 pounds.
The rifle is named after its Grayboe Ridgeback stock, which features customisable LOP and comb height. Ridgeback rifles feature a medium Palma with a 5/8Ă24 threaded muzzle. The Ridgeback stock has integrated M-LOK attachment points for mounting accessories such as a tactical laser or IR illuminator. The Bergara Ridgeback uses AICS pattern detachable magazines.
Bergara Premier Action
The Premier action is designed as a two-fork system that has a separate floating screw head to ensure contact with the lug assemblies in the action. It also features a tapered screw nose for smooth feeding of the cartridge and a spring-loaded slide plate puller located at the front of the lower locking tab. The one-piece screw body is made of stainless steel with a pad on the back to accommodate the screwed-in screw handle. The screw head, non-rotating gas shield, screw handle and screw cover are fully nitrided for extreme durability and self-lubricating properties.
AICS Style Magazine
The Premier Ridgeback rifle has a 5-round AICS-style magazine (7-round magazine: 6.5 PRC).
Integrated spirit level
The stock of the Premier Ridgeback includes an integrated spirit level to ensure that no tilt is introduced into the rifle during firing. This should help to achieve maximum accuracy.
Adjustable jaw piece
The Grayboe stock of the Premier Ridgeback rifle has a fully adjustable cheek piece to allow the best possible cheek contact during shooting.
