Differences between the UNIC SuperErgo carbon shaft and the UNIC Revolution perforated shaft
As always, opinions among shooters about stock shapes are very individual.
The UNIC Revolution Hole shaft, a classic for bolt action rifles, offers a relaxed pistol grip position, but obviously has disadvantages for some shooters when it comes to the speed of the repeating action. The SuperErgo stock solves this problem:
- Improved ergonomicsThe Thumbrestintegration and the asymmetrical open shaft shape (currently only for right-handers, the left-handed version is planned from 2026) allow easy positioning of the hand.
- Extended modularityThe UNIC SuperErgo carbon fibre stock offers the option of equipping the buttstock with various attachments on the underside at any time. A monopod ground spur, a Picatinny rail or a simple J-hook are available to choose from. This means that you can either save every gram or achieve the full potential for long shots.
Key features of the SuperErgo Carbon Shaft at a glance
- Currently only right-handed versionThe stock is currently designed for right-handed shooters, but will offer a mirror-inverted version from 2026.
- J-Hook weapon hanger: The silencer can be conveniently stored hanging downwards to protect the barrel. In addition to the hand rest for pulling the stock perfectly into the shoulder, this is a practical advantage.
- Take-down feature with integrated hexagon spanner (only for Mauser 25)Allows quick disassembly of the barrel without loss of tools. The original stocks of the Mauser 25 do not allow the barrel to be removed.
- Weather resistance and easy careCerakote coating in the grip area protects against moisture and scratches, ideal for use in snow or rain.
- Weight reduction: With only 638-650 g the stock is significantly lower than traditional materials, which improves freehand target acquisition.
Conclusion: Why the SuperErgo stock from Fine Ballistic Tools may shape the future?
The UNIC SuperErgo carbon shaft combines innovation and practical benefits.
For the Mauser 25, Blaser R8 Professional, Steel Action and Steyr SM12 this means a Upgrading to high-precision toolswhich are convincing both in everyday hunting and in competition.
The Planned left-handed version from 2026 and the focus on details such as the modular monopod emphasise FBT's claim, "to turn every weapon into a precision tool". With a price of under € 2.000 (well below competitive products), the shaft also sets new standards in the price-performance category.
