TEST VIDEO: The INCA SILENCER SOUND + Problem solved. Already SILENT at the FIRST SHOT

INCA silencer test with Steyr SM12

INCA "Silencer Sound" test - just listen to it. Quiet, right from the first shot! Developed for hunting applications.

INCA CONSTRUCTION and INFO FROM THE MANUFACTURER

There are still many Myths and opinions to the topic "Weapons silencer". However, silencers are not "miracles".

Silencers are Simple to complicated (multi-)chamber constructions more or less taken into account, physical principles to the Noise abatement. There are with silencers basically exactly 2 possible solutionsNoise reduction through

  1. Expansion volume (with the disadvantage of large dimensions)
    - OR -
  2. Gas flow and sound propagation control through special surface designs (= INCA construction)

Yes, sooner or later all hunters will realise - the Problem of simple expansion silencers. The - especially when hunting IMPORTANT - FIRST SHOT IS LOUDERthan the following ones.

But why is this the case with the expansion silencer?
The "first bang" is louder because the first shot who still oxygen in the damper of the air burns explosively. When the second shot is fired, there is no more oxygen in the quasi "exhaust gas". This condition continues until air enters the silencer again.

And precisely this important criterion of the "even quiet, first shot" during the hunt, the FBT Engineers solve the problem. They have achieved this very well with the INCA silencer design.

TIP: Just listen to the video yourself. It is remarkable that the first shot (at second 11) exactly the same with INCA is like the following.
And something else on the subject of silencer sound: About the sound Comparison a Shot with expansion construction at second 26 in the background by a side shooter.

With the Test weapon is a Steyr SM12 with FBT Custom Carbon Stem and 40 cm barrel in 308 Win. Barrel construction: INCA 32 OBS silencer with complete carbon barrel jacket cover.

Summary: Discussion with Moritz Rainer from FBT on the INCA silencer - what does the hunter/shooter need to know?

INCA Silencer Silencer - FBT Fine Ballistic Tools
  • The Silencer like all silencers, is installed immediately after the first shot warm. FBT recommends the INCA after 10 consecutive (rapid) shots to cool down. The INCAS have also been tested with 30 and more shots 30-06 in succession with repeating without any problems. There is no safety risk whatsoever.
Additional information: With Continuous fire (fully automatic weapon) the silencer would eventually start to melt - the Steel silencer would start to glow (see full auto melt down videos on youtube)
  • Even more optimised are the INCAS with short barrel (short barrels) weapons. The ammunition specially loaded for short barrels brings Higher pressures at the running endresulting in a increasing efficiency with INCA silencers the increased gas flows lead to an increase in higher performance in noise reduction. Ideally, the 308 Win should be mentioned here - especially for the reloader.
  • Even with a silencer, the Hearing always protected be used. A normal foam earplug - lightly pressed into the ear - should be sufficient. Lightly pressed into the ear, it is barely perceptible and all ambient noise is fully perceptible. The "Sound pattern of the INCA silencer" has been improved through continuous optimisation. The current version is the optimum of what is possible with this design.
  • A very important point is the Self-cleaning capability of the INCA silencer. The extremely high gas velocities that flow over the surfaces of the interior, clean the silencer with every shot.
