Dioptre correction for spectacle wearers with different visual acuity
The Dioptre correctionThe dioptre correction on the eyepiece is used to compensate for different visual acuities of the eyes. " More info on EyepieceThe eyepiece is the lens group of an optical system that faces the eye. The eyepieces consist of several separate lenses - achromats (3-6 individual lenses). " More info serves to equalise different visual acuities of the eyes.

For many people there are Deviations in the visual acuity of both eyes. For this reason, binoculars with two identical eyepieces with adjustment options are used to achieve a uniformly sharp image of the object (the differences between the two eyes must be adjusted).
This is usually adjusted on one of the eyepieces or directly on the focussing wheel of the binoculars. After this "focus adjustment" of both eyes, correct focusing is possible via the centre adjustment on the binoculars. The respective Maximum adjustment radius (+/- dioptres) can be viewed under the technical details of each binocular model.
