Influence of objective lens diameter on the light intensity of the binoculars or on the objective lens light intensity
The "second" code number (e.g. ..x50) indicates the diameter of the Front lens of the objective (usually the larger diameter) in mm.

If the lens diameter is doubled (e.g. from 25 mm to 50 mm), 4 times the amount of light can be recorded. Unfortunately, larger lens diameters also lead to an increase in the weight of the optics.
